Professor Paul Coldwell is a practicing artist and researcher. His art practice includes prints, book works, sculptures, and installations. He has exhibited widely, and his work is included in numerous public collections, including TateVictoria & Albert Museum (V&A), the British Museum, the Arts Council of England, and the Musee d’art et d’histoire, Geneva and MoMA (New York). The focus of his work is on themes of absence and presence, often taking a museum and its collection as a starting point for research and inquiry.

The following publication 'A Research Journey through Pictures, Postcards, Objects and Words' was designed for his showcase at Chelsea College of Arts, which chronicles 15 years of his practice and site-responsive art projects. The layout and typesetting was done to compile the requisite content into fixed set of 32 A5 pages, keeping readability at the forefront.
